The Galaxy of Wishes

The Galaxy of Wishes

Deep in space, where stars shone like diamond dust and galaxies swirled like colorful whirlpools, there was a special planet called Lumina. On Lumina, every child had a small crystal called a “desiderium.” This crystal could grant one wish each year, but only if the child’s heart was pure and the wish was made sincerely.

Little Zed and His Dream
Zed was an eight-year-old boy who lived in a small town on Lumina. He wasn’t like the other kids. While everyone else used their crystals to wish for endless toys or sweets, Zed had a bigger dream: he wanted to explore space. Every night, he stared at the sky, imagining distant worlds and mysterious alien creatures.

On his birthday, Zed took his crystal and held it tightly in his hands. Closing his eyes, he said:
“I wish for a spaceship to explore the galaxy and make new friends.”

The crystal lit up with a bright glow, and suddenly, in front of Zed, appeared a silver spaceship with wings that shimmered like rainbows. The ship had a name engraved on its side: Aurora.

A Journey Among the Stars
Zed boarded the Aurora, which seemed to understand his thoughts. All he had to do was think of a direction, and the ship would move. Before he left, his best friend, Miko, a small robot Zed had built, joined him.
“You’re not thinking of leaving without me, are you?” Miko said, pretending to be offended.

The two set off, traveling through colorful nebulas and skimming past comets. One day, they arrived on a planet called Nix, where everything was made of ice, but it wasn’t cold. The inhabitants of Nix, the Glim, were transparent beings that glowed when they were happy. Zed helped them fix a broken energy source, and in return, the Glim gave him a sphere that could show the future.

The Mystery of Shadow Planet
During their travels, Zed and Miko heard about a dark planet called Shadow. It was said that no light could penetrate it and that anyone who went there never returned. But Zed was too curious to ignore the mystery.
“What’s the point of exploring if we don’t venture into the most mysterious places?” he said to Miko.

When they arrived on Shadow, they discovered it wasn’t empty at all. It was home to gentle creatures called Ombrelin, who lived in darkness because light hurt them. The Ombrelin were sad because no one dared visit their planet, and they feared being forgotten.

Zed had an idea: he used the Glim’s future sphere to create an artificial starry sky that didn’t harm the Ombrelin. The planet transformed into a magical place, and soon travelers from across the galaxy began visiting. The Ombrelin were happy and grateful.

The Journey Home
After many months in space, Zed and Miko decided it was time to return to Lumina. Along their journey, Zed had learned that the universe was full of wonders and that every planet, even the darkest one, had something special.

When they landed back home, the entire town greeted them as heroes. But Zed didn’t feel like a hero; he had simply followed his curious heart. And as his desiderium crystal began to glow again, he knew this was only the first of many adventures.

That night, looking at the sky, he whispered:
“The universe is vast, but my greatest wish will always be to discover it all.”

And so, every year, Zed continued to journey through the stars, carrying with him his crystal, his loyal Miko, and the dream of a boy who wanted to know the infinite.
